Description
The Pune Development Plan 2041, under preparation by the Pune Municipal Corporation during the 2020s, is the statutory development plan for a fast-growing western Indian metropolis long dominated by two-wheelers and road expansion. Its direction of travel emphasises transit corridors around the new Pune Metro and bus rapid transit, densification along those spines, and riverfront development schemes along the Mula and Mutha rivers, together with provision for the city's expanding merged fringe areas.
